Sandra Ajaja is a social entrepreneur, Author, speaker and an advocate for digital rights and inclusion of African women and girls in technology. She is passionate about the African Technology Ecosystem, pushing for a collaborative economy and building strong communities.

She’s a graduate of Electrical /Electronics Engineering. She authored her first book at age 21 called ‘From Hobbies to Social Entrepreneurship’; where she emphasised that anyone can become a change maker by identifying a hobby or passion and use it to solve a specific societal problem.

Sandra founded Fempower Africa, the largest community of Female Tech Enthusiasts in Sub-saharan Africa. Fempower Africa is scaling diversity in Technology, building Female tech giants and leaders. They have organised Women in Tech events, conferences, workshops and hackathons across Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia constantly driving conversations around Diversity, equal pay gap, digital gap and Inclusion in Technology, while channeling resources towards women building tech-enabled businesses in Africa.

She is a Young Leader at the 2019 European Development Days, organised by the European Commission, Brussels, Belgium; Youth Ambassador for UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development; Youth Ambassador for One Young World Global Community, a fellow of the Gamal Abdel Nasser Leadership Program organised by the African Youth Bureau, Cairo, Egypt; alumni of YALI RLC, Accra, Ghana; alumni of the Venture in Management Program by Lagos Business School. She represented Nigeria at the Arab and African Youth Platform, Aswan, Egypt, a platform for promising leaders and decision makers in Africa.

She is a recipient of the Young African Leaders Award by the African Youth Architects, and the Trailblazer Awards, which celebrates (25-year old or less in age) exceptional female entrepreneurs and change makers.

Sandra has spoken on several global platforms: Friends of Europe Africa Summit at Brussels, Belgium ; The African Women in Technology Summit, 100 CEOs Forum, Next Leader’s Africa Summit, European Development Days, Ghana CEOs Summit, sharing insights on investments in Africa, diversity and inclusion.
